August 01, 2012, (Sawfnews.com) – Abhishek Bachchan filmed a Sholay inspired cameo in Rohan Sippy’s currently under production directorial, Nautanki Saala, on Tuesday, July 31.

The 70s blockbuster film, unarguably Bollywood’s best work to date, headlined Abhishek’s father Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.

Abhishek, 36, along with the lead stars of the film, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunal Roy Kapoor, shot for the title track of the film at Liberty Cinema in Marine Lines, Mumbai.

In the song, AB will be seen addressing Ayushmann as ‘Nautanki Saala’ just as Amitabh had in Ramesh Sippy’s cult classic Sholay. Amitabh had called Dharmendra nautanki saala in the iconic drunk scene on water tank.

“Abhishek called Ayushman ‘Nautanki Saala’ in the song. This brought back memories of his father, Amitabh mouthing the same lines in Rohan’s father Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay,” says an eyewitness.

This is the first time Rohan is making a film without his close pal Abhishek. The two have worked together in all three of Rohan’s earlier directorials – Kuch Naa Kaho (2003), Bluffmaster (2005) and Dum Maaro Dum (2011).

Abhishek hung out with Rohan on the set even after his shoot was over.
